What is MailTrigger?

What is MailTrigger?#

MailTrigger is a powerful and flexible SMTP server that allows you to route, transform, and forward emails through various channels.

Think of It This Way

MailTrigger is like IFTTT or Zapier, specialized for email — when an email arrives, it triggers smart, automated actions.

Turn your existing email system into IFTTT!

Key Features#

  • Flexible logic and rules to determine how each email is processed

  • Send email content to platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, etc.

  • Support actions such as forwarding, sending emails, or LLM-based processing

How It Works#

MailTrigger is built around the concept of domains, mailboxes, and routes:

  • Domain

    • A verified domain under your control (e.g., example.com).

  • Mailbox

    • You can create multiple mailboxes per domain (e.g., alert@example.com, support@example.com).

  • Route

    • Each mailbox supports multiple routes.

    • A route contains rules and actions to decide how incoming or outgoing emails are handled.

    • For example: “If subject contains ‘Urgent’, send this message to LINE + Telegram.”

Why Use MailTrigger?#

MailTrigger is more than just an SMTP server — it’s a message automation hub.

  • Want to send server alerts to WhatsApp? You can.

  • Want to auto-respond to certain emails using AI? Easy.

  • Want to transform mail into structured API calls? No problem.

Note

MailTrigger helps you control how email content flows across different messaging platforms, ensuring better visibility, faster delivery, and smarter routing.
